The Radar Halo Alloy Wheels are the ultimate in indoor skating performance. These wheels spent over four years in development, where they were rigorously tested and fine-tuned into an elegant final design that is incredibly fun to skate. The addition of a lightweight aluminum core improves upon the already impressive response of the landmark Halo, which has become one of the most preferred wheels in competitive derby. The new hub mimics the original drop-center core that has more urethane in the middle of the tire - for grip and feel - and less urethane on the inside and outside edges - for response and roll. Halo Alloys are designed for any skater who wants the absolute best performance.

Good if they didn't arrive faultyI received 8 wheels for my order and one was damaged with the wheel not spinning correctly despite everything else being checked and fixed and changed by several eyes. So I sent back 4 wheels because you cant just send one back. The next 4 I got, another one had a similar problem but less intense. I kept these because it was at least skateable and I didn't have time to send back four and wait for the replacement again.

New favorite wheelI didn't think Radar could do much to improve the Halo wheel (which I love so much I have sets in 5 hardnesses) but I had a chance to test drive the alloy wheels and had to bring them home. These are everything you get in a traditional Halo--amazingly responsive edging and control, smooth, fast and light--but dialed in just a bit better. That's it, nothing too dramatic, just all the good things: better. And they're light! One thing to note, after trying out my plastic hubs and the alloys on the same surface, I did need to go one level softer in the alloys to get the same grip (presumably because there's less give in the metal hub, making the tire ride a bit stiffer). Looking forward to doing rad sh*t with these! xx Lana
