Each iteration of the revered S1 Pro Knee Pads builds on the legacy and lessons of the previous model, and Generation 4 is no different. This model sees the stitching reinforced at strap contact points and adds a new layer of shock reducing foam to the inner assembly of foams that work in unison to protect from heavy, repetitive impacts. The design, function, and sizing is otherwise identical to Gen 3, which was so much in demand that it was hard to keep on the shelves! S1's Knee Pads feature a streamlined design that molds to your knee and is praised for not restricting skating strides or mobility. Ballistic nylon makes up the bulk of the pad's construction, which means that you trust it to take some pretty nasty falls, slides, and scrapes without falling apart. The pad is secured through a very comfortable combination of neoprene butterfly straps, an adjustable high-strength nylon strap, and a thick elastic Velcro strap. The knee caps are shaped to fall flat against the floor and are replaceable should you crack or lose them.

Hard to stand straight inI'm a skating noob without many points of comparison, so feel free to discount my opinion. These pads were highly reviews, so I purchased them. When I tried them on, I found that it wasn't comfortable to stand up straight, as they'd dig into the backs of my legs. Not sure if this is common to all pads, or pronounced on this. Pondering returning and trying something else.

This product is great!I love these knee pads. The double straps on top and bottom keep them in place. Also, the product arrived in record time even though I didn't ask for fast shipping.
