-
Power
A Power-Focused Playing Style suits players who thrive on generating strong, top-end speed through forceful and longer strides. They come with a stiffer boot that efficiently transfers energy into the ice for maximum power with every stride.
-
Acceleration
An Acceleration-Focused Playing Style is ideal for players who rely on quick bursts of speed and agile movements to dominate the game. These offer a moderately stiff boot that balances support with mobility. You can swiftly change direction, make sudden moves, and accelerate rapidly with these skates.

Level of Play Definitions

-
Recreational-Level
Recreational ice hockey skates are built for the new-to-hockey player or casual skaters that are looking for an affordable option. These are great starter skates, especially for youth players.
-
Performance-Level
Performance-level ice hockey skates are a great fit for players who are confident in their skating stride and are ready to take their on-ice performance to the next level. These players are on the ice 1-2 times a week playing mid-to-high level hockey.
-
Elite-Level
Elite-level ice hockey skates are built for the best performance, protection, durability, and comfort. These players are usually on the ice three times or more a week and are playing high-level hockey.
The FORS Composite asymmetrical boot is one of the biggest changes we've seen in the Tacks Line for quite some time and brings with it more effective energy transfer, long-term durability, and even weight reduction. Combined with the Game Ready Fit 3.0, the XF Pro offers an incredible out-of-the-box fit thanks to a pre-baked wrap at the factory before a player even gets to heat mold it.
Adding to this, the TotalDri Pro liner with new Responsive Foam and 3D mesh contours better around the foot, wicks away moisture, dries quicker, and fights off odor-causing bacteria. The re-engineered construction also includes a Heel Lock Zone for enhanced stability and control through each stride.
Even the new Flex Tendon 3.0 uses FORS Composite, but its main purpose is to deliver maximum stride extension for more power without exposing the Achilles. The Step BlackSteel runner is among the very best performing options in the game with its premier edge retention, sharpening life, glide, and overall consistency.
For the ultimate fitting experience that can be done without leaving the house, make sure to first Bake Your Skates at Home and then Check for Proper Skate Fit. If you are still unsatisfied with how they fit and feel, simply use the included pre-paid return label.

| SpeedBlade XS Tongue System An easy and secure clip system gives you the ability to purchase one of three aftermarket CCM tongues. Slim is the lightest and slimmest, which reduces weight and increases internal volume. Regular is the most similar to the stock tongue but comes with D3O Smart Foam for top-tier protection.
