Very protectiveFor years I've been using the Warrior Knee Pads which come with leg pads and they've served me well. Then I took a pretty hard shot to the outside of the knee which prompted me to look into these. It required little to no break in period, fit exactly like the freebie grey knee pads, but with quite a bit extra protection. They are only slightly bulkier, not by much. They lace into Warrior pants as all of the others. I'm glad I went with these for the extra money.
