Overview
The CCM Tacks AS 580 Shin Guard is a fantastic choice for the competitive player who is looking for some of the best value in terms of protection and price. Built with CCM's Anatomical Shield Design, the AS 580 provides the competitive player maximum coverage and protection without any hindrance in mobility.
JDP Technology in the knee cap disperses heavy impact energy away from the joint and into the surrounding dense foam liner, which also has a knee cutout to increase comfort and fit. This liner is sublimated with awesome detail and is removable to reduce drying time between games.
Down low, an injected molded plastic offers incredible slash and shot protection to the outer calf. It's backed with a standard foam and includes CCM's AdaptFit length adjustable calf strap. No matter your calf size, you'll be able to dial in the fit for premium comfort.

Sizing Chart
GENERAL SHIN GUARD SIZING GUIDELINES |
|
---|---|
Sitting at a 90-degree angle, measure from the bottom of your kneecap to the top of your foot parallel to your ankle and round to the nearest inch. This measurement equals your shin guard size when worn over the skate tongue. Correspond this measurement with the "Tongue In" column below. This is the most popular style since it offers more coverage and the best mobility. | |
If you prefer to wear the shin guard under the skate tongue, simply subtract 1" from your measurement, which equals going one pad size down. This style provides a lighter and lower-profile fit. |
